QUESTIONS

The Basic Mandate program at Clayton Regional Law Enforcement Academy is a fulltime, 10-week, paramilitary structured program. The instructional blocks are scheduled to run Monday through Friday from 0800 - 1630 with some night training throughout the course.

The Basic Jail Officer Course is intended for new jail officers of local governmental agencies who are involved in the daily operation of correctional facilities and jails. This is a two week program that requires participants to be in good physical condition.

The Clayton Regional Law Enforcement Academy offers many different courses for already certified Police Officers and Deputy Sheriffs. The variety of courses offered are designed to help law enforcement officers meet their required training hours per year along with meeting their continued educational advancement training needs.
